Tarot Readings and Palm Readings

I see a day when we all find a way to smile in the face of fear.   We’ll gather strength and the gods will cheer. We’ll run where angels doubt to try and where the dark clouds all fly to give us the hope by and by to be able still to see the love what comes from you and me – deborahmills

You are you and its true that there is no one your than  you – Dr Suess

We have power, we have the inner ability to look fear, doubt, worries in the face, conjure up the answers to problems, resolve the issues that we see and the hope that tomorrow will be a better day.  Troubles will come.  We all know that is true.  There is really no way to stop a problem that hits our path, yet we look at the puzzle, find the corner pieces and then we will be able to dream. Dream on, Dream big, Dream

Animal totems:  Crow:  Bro Crow is still around at the Christmas time. He sits in the tree, has the intelligent to stay warm as he knows how to use tools and build a strong warm nest.  He like squirrel has hidden away treasures in his nest for the snowy days, and his totem reminds us that we can be bossy but also watchful along the way. His totem reminds us to speak our truths, while his medicine shares that we have the smarts to find the answers to the puzzle

Lady Moon is waxing Gibbous,  She remains in Taurus the bull today with the illumination of 83 %.   Pine cones are good to have for the Yule as they symbolize eternity and long life.

Recipe:    Hard Candy:   2 cups white sugar,  ½ cup water,  2 tablespoons corn syrup,  heat in a medium heavy saucepan to a rolling boil.  Boil for 4-5 minutes at hard boil. Or 300 degrees on candy thermometer.  I prefer to use candy thermometer as it gets the candy the perfect texture.  At 300 degrees on candy thermometer, take off heat, and stir. Add coloring and flavors,  I love peppermint, or cinnamon, but can add orange, raspberry.  Crafting and kitchen places have all sorts of flavors even butter rum!!  Pour into candy molds or a pie pan which then you can break into bits.

I am off this am as usual on Sunday.  I will return at 5;30 pm central time . May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me,

What is all wisdom save a collection of platitudes? Norman Douglas

It is becoming clear that the old platitudes can no longer be maintained, and that if we wish to improve our morals we must first improve our knowledge. Havelock Ellis

Many will call me an adventurer, and that I am, only one of a different sort: one of those who risks his skin to prove his platitudes. Pawan Kalyan

Platitude: “ 1. The quality or state of being dull or insipid. 2. A banal, trite,or stale remark .” Many times when someone has been unable to come up with an answer for a problem, old platitudes come into play, “ God’s grace is sufficient.”, or “Good things come to those who wait.” “Time heals all wounds,” “ It is what it is” and last by not least, “ life doesn’t give us more than we can handle”. When we are in crisis mode, when we are in true pain, emotional, or physical, someone telling us one of these common platitudes, is annoying at best. The worst is expecting us to accept them, go on living in the pain. Spiritually there is plans, steps we can take to change the way our path has turned. The answer lies is step by step, following the plan to the letter “t”, not accepting platitudes of it is what it is, but listening carefully to the steps, even when the actions seem hard, crazy or impossible, but as least trying. Follow the path, listen to the elders, do the hard things, and believe. Dream on never giving up. Dream on, do not settle. Dream on  Dream  big Dream

Animal totems : Mouse: It twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.” –( clement clark moore,) – bro mouse is most often going. When his intuition picks up cheese or some other snack, he will run the maze, even when hitting the walls, or the roads blocks without stopping, just looking at the wall, turning another way to find the goal. His totem reminds us that we should keep running to the dream even when we hit the wall. His medicine shares that we will reach our goals no matter how hard.

Lady Moon is Waxing Gibbous  with the illumination of 79%.  She enters Taurus the Bull at 2:29 am est.  Birch wood represents birth and other new beginnings. Use to represent the birth of the child. In Christmas rituals and ornaments

Recipe:   many of us have brunch for the holidays.  A favorite of the Yuletide from the ancients is the Oven-Roasted Peppers –   2 8 oz packs of cream cheese, softened to room temperature, 2  Tablespoons cornstarch, 8 eggs, ½  tablespoon of fresh dill, 3 tablespoons of ranch dip mix, ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded, 30-40 small sweet  peppers, tops cut off,  seeds rinsed out in sink, and peppers set out to dry, 4-6 cups dried pinto  beans  for blind baking ( blind baking  is bcaking blind (sometimes called pre-baking) is the process of baking a pie crust or other pastry without the filling. Blind baking a pie crust is necessary when it will be filled with an unbaked filling (such as with pudding or cream pies), in which case the crust must be fully baked.) compare  filling ingredients in a food processor and pulse until a smooth batter forms.   Fill a 9 x3 inch loaf pan ¼ of the way with dry beans. Stand peppers upright each held by the dry beans until the pan is tightly packed;   fill each pepper with custard, leaving room at the top for swelling. Place pepper caps back on,, and bake in 300  degree oven for 15-20 minutes.  Test peppers with toothpick to make sure custard is baked and firm.  (  Estha McNevin’s recipe) .I am here my usual hours today. May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya,

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Thomas A. Edison]

I have not failed. I have simply found 10,000 ways that a light bulb doesn’t work. Thomas Edison

You cry and you scream and you stomp your feet and you shout. You say, ‘You know what? I’m giving up, I don’t care.’ And then you go to bed and you wake up and it’s a brand new day, and you pick yourself back up again. Nicole Scherzinger

I love Thomas Edison’s quote about simply finding the ways the light bulb didn’t work. And we do, we cry, we scream, we say we are giving up, and yet there in our spirit is that little glimmer of hope. We get upset with the advisers, the friends, the boyfriend, the girlfriend, ourselves, yes even the higher power, so we are mad. We are angry. We are tired. Why would higher power step on us over, over again. Yet deep inside is that light, the little flickers, and so, we get back up, we try again. We realize, our dreams are just a day away to come. So Dream on, dream Big, dream/

Animal totems : Tazmanian Devil : Bro Taz is a real animal. His totem is known to have a bit of temperament, and seem like things are always in chaos. His totem reminds us of the chaos anger unchanneled in the right way, and his medicine shows us that we can live under strong circumstances

Lady Moon is Waxing gibbous.  She entered Aries at 7:22 pm on Thursday,  . the chalis, is an important tool for our altars, reminding us of the water element of spirit in our rituals.

Recipe:   Pigs in blankets:  Easy if we use canned biscuits.  Take little hotdogs, or polish sausages, miniature sausages, wrap each one individually.  Put on baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes until biscuit dough is brown.  We can add cheese in with the sausage or onions, add our own additives. Easy and quick and fun.  Serve with mustard, ketchup , relish or other condiments you prefer.

I am off this morning due to a grandson’s Christmas program I will return in the evening as usual.  May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me

And in the beginning the light came with the dawn, and we smiled as the beginnings of day was shown, the birds still sing in spite of the cold, and the mums seem to bloom still so bold, and then oh then we seem to know that life would still show peace – deborahmills © 2019

Treat those who are good with goodness, and also treat those who are not good with goodness. Thus goodness is attained. Be honest to those who are honest, and be also honest to those who are not honest. Thus honesty is attained. Lao Tzu

Honesty and integrity are by far the most important assets of an entrepreneur. Zig Ziglar

There’s just some magic in truth and honesty and openness. Frank Ocean Let’s be honest. Yet there are times when we think honesty is always bad news. If we look hard enough at a situation, we can find something wrong with this life path. When we are looking for something wrong we can find it. If we can believe it, we can have it ( Walt disney) . If we look hard enough , there is a silver lining in every dark cloud . In real truth, in real honesty, there is the magick of the universe in every word, every act, every path. The truth is what we put out to the universe is what we receive. We put out truth, we live our truth, we will receive the karma. Our problem is we believe that the truth always has to hurt, always has to be bad! There are good truths in the world. We promise. There is magick. There is love. There is connection with other people that light up the Mother earth like the stars that shine in the dark night. We can find our way to the other side of the coin, the positive side, as we look for our truths.

Animal totems: Hawk: Sometimes here in the South, we have to watch the hawks closely. Their quick sharp eye, their fast movement with a large wing spread, our small beloved pets can be carried away. This totem is a messenger from the gods, to watch closely in our truths, reminding us to not get carried away in the negativity that can swoop day to capture us. His medicine reminds us to fly high above the dark to hear the messages of the gods\\\

Lady Moon is Waxing Crescent . Go with the flow as best as we can. Use spearmint oil to help keep money budget on track, as well as give the aromatherapy of perky happy days.

Recipe:   half Baked potatoes:  Bake 4 -6 medium size baking russet potatoes about 30 minutes on 400 degrees. Then put mashed potatoed back into the shell.   Top with paprika, or parmesan cheese. Old hippies never die . they simply sail away and fly to moons with purpled blue sky and clouds floating happily by wearing faded ripped jeans and shirts tie—dyed, bandanas dotted with stars which fly to open fields where daisies and cows reside, and still and all they never sigh, but know that peace and love has come by and by – deborahmills © 2019 Don’t let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace – Dalai Llama In my book, “Old Hippies Never die – The Return to Peace and love” (©2019) the father loses his peace and comfort when the family starts behaving differently than he expected or wanted. Learning to adjust to other’s values, differences time lines is difficult. The task of changing our own way of seeing things, looking through the eyes of another can steal our own inner peace if we allow the anger, hurt to linger. Finding our own truths, but allowing others to have their own truths, can help us. If we do the next right thing, we can always sleep at night, find inner peace and allow our dreams to come. Dream on, Dream big, Dream. Animal totems: wolverine: Sister wolverine can be righteous. She is generally quiet, working hard down by the waters, taking care of her babies, but to protect, her teeth and claws are sharp and deadly. Her totem can take on a rattlesnake and win. Her totem reminds us to protect with fierce strength our peace and love while we work hard to build our lives. Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come. Henri Nouwen Our fatigue is often caused not by work, but by worry, frustration and resentment. Dale Carnegie Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. Carrie Fisher We work very hard, yet our work seems to appreciate another more than ourselves. The bosses seem to focus more on another employee even when we work ourselves to the bone, as well as our wallets seems to get thinner as time goes on. Resentment starts to set in. We spend nights alone. Our dinners are eaten standing up by the sink, while Mr Kitty eats his meal beside us standing on the counter. Sure does feel as if no one cares, we are alone. We see people we know beyond doubt doesn’t deserve that guy, that gal in life but yet, seems as if these jerks have everything handed on a silver platter. Worse yet we resent everything. We stop liking ourselves because we feel we must be the worse person on Mother earth if we are still alone. Oh, the seers, the prophets, the lightworkers tell us that we are blocking our miracles with this anger, this resentment, yet we try. We really do try. We get up each morning, do our vision board, do our candles, prayers, yet there it is. Nothing changed. Time slides by. The answer is the spiritual battle within ourselves, to love ourselves. To believe in this moment, that no matter what we are going through, we stop, breathe, ask the Divine to help us. “I don’t want to be angry anymore. I don’t want to be resentful. I want to love and be loved. I will be the vessel of love today.” If we have to stop every 5 minutes, to say this mantra, we will overcome, we will move to our dreams. Animal totems: Cardinal: Bro Cardinal with his bright red feathers, is often seen in the Yule holiday scenes. His totem mates for life. If his partner is missing or dies, his totem will grieve for a time, his love still pure. Yet he is cheery even in his grieving. His totem reminds us to shine our light, our brightness especially in the dark times. His medicine shares the memory of true lasting love. Lady Moon is Waxing crescent with the illumination of 31%. She enters into Pisces at 11:31 pm est time while the 1st house of self is in Aquarius. When building the Sacred Circle or prayer altar, the 4 elements are important pieces. To represent Water Element, use a chalice silver, gold, or brass. Water element is the West Direction, the spiritual and emotions element which flows into our hearts. The crown and the 3rd eye are the main chakras associated with water.

Recipe:  Caramel:  1 cup sugar, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ cup water, ¼ cup heavy cream, 4 tablespoons butter.   In a small saucepan over medium heat, add sugar and salt and cover with water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring every so often until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high and cook until deeply golden, without stirring, 4 to 5 minutes more. (If you’re using a candy thermometer, you want it to reach 350°).Once caramel is a deep copper color, turn off heat and immediately stir in cream and butter. Mixture will bubble up so be careful! Let cool slightly in pan, then transfer to a container to cool completely.

Take time for all things: great haste makes great waste. Benjamin Franklin

What do we tell our children? Haste makes waste. Look before you leap. Stop and think. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We believe that we are always better off gathering as much information as possible and spending as much time as possible in deliberation. Malcolm Gladwell

Truth is confirmed by inspection and delay; falsehood by haste and uncertainty. Tacitus

The rumor is that brewed coffee tastes better than instant. Since I am not fond of coffee, I go by what I’m told. I do know that oatmeal cooked is better than instant. I still like popcorn popped on the stove than in the microwave. I, at 62, remember a time when we had to wait for the neighbor to get off the phone to use the 5- party line, so thankful when our parents, grandparents finally went to a 2 party line. Still we waited for Ms. Bertha to get off her line, while our Granny sat listening to every word Ms Bertha said! Since I learned to read palms, the tarot back as a child, things were slower as well. Anxiously the women came, hands twisting with nervousness, but respect in their eyes. Gingerly we laid the cards, the tea leaves, the stones out, while she waited with baited breath. Every bit of her fiber knew her answers lie in these tools. Then as finally the answers, the outcome came, the petitioner gave a sigh of relief. Maybe not always what she wanted to hear, she knew the outcome. Time didn’t matter, we were used to waiting for good things. And yet, knowing what would come gave the healing comfort. Time changes all life. Change comes to all, giving us the ability to be comforted in knowing that nothing stays the same. Dreams are given by spirit, dreams will come.

Animal totems: Chipmunk: Alvin and the chipmunks are well known at Christmas time. This totem doesn’t hibernate all winter, but burrow deep down, sleep 3-4 days then scurries out to get food, tucking into cheek much like squirrel, then back down underground for his nice little nest. His totem reminds us that taking time to rest will renew our strength. His medicine shares happiness in balance of time. Lady Moon is Waxing Crescent. to escape criticism – do nothing, say nothing, be nothing- Elbert Hubbard

You just never give up, no matter how hard the challenges are, and observe this world with a healthy dose of criticism and don’t just follow the herd like somebody else might do. Renny Harlin

The better a work is, the more it attracts criticism; it is like the fleas who rush to jump on white linens. Gustave Flaubert

There are times in life when we strive for perfection. From early childhood, we are told to “be like Jesus”, ” be like Gandhi” ” be like Buddha” ” Be like Mother Teresa” the list goes on. Each one has the legend, we have the thoughts that these people lived perfect, enlightened lives that were easy, or when they were not, they floated through the times letting the angry words, angry criticism fall on empty ears. Lately I’ve been trying to channel these spiritual leaders, these heroes. I read that “jesus wept”, ” he overturned all the tables in the temple in righteous anger”, He was killed by the very people he loved. Gandhi was imprisoned in 1930 for a salt tax, he was killed during another protest. Buddha was born into royalty. He left the palace to go among the poor. There were as many recorded 3 attempts to kill him. As I was channeling these people, who have been my inspirations, my desires to be like them all my life, I feel their pain. I feel their tears, when trying to give to people, rejection came. As I continue to feel their spirit, I came to realize that criticism is often other’s fear of the change. it is often looking for someone to be wrong. If we look hard enough to find something wrong in our spouse, our loved one, our friend, our teacher, we will find it. If we expect to fail, we will fail. If we are trying so hard to be right, that this person is wrong, we will work hard at it until we are right. the need to be right even when not wanting to be, is so intense the tensions is still there. We all need to strive toward a sense of perfection, but realizing that we sit in silence doing nothing to achieve perfection, even then still not being perfect as nothing is accomplished. Avoid criticism – do nothing, say nothing, be still

Animal totems: Stag – Bro Stag is strong, silent, often times leading without appearing to be leading. His strong antlers push through the woods, the branches, the bramble as without a word he makes the path for the herd to go. His totem reminds us that he is strong, but not aggressive unless he needs to be. His medicine reminds us that we should lead by example rather than violence unless ready to protect. Lady Moon is Waxing Crescent.  She remains in Virgo.  . Iolite a semi precious stone helps boost psychic abiity and spiritual growth.

On the holiday mornings, my mother used to make popovers for breakfast. Descending from the British Yorkshire pudding, this comfort food is one to keep our spirits up. 3 beaten eggs,1 cup milk, 2 T melted butter, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 cup flour. Oven is preheated to 450 degrees. Grease popover or muffin tins , or use cupcake liners. Beat together eggs, milk, butter, salt, and sugar. Beat in the flour until the dough is smooth. Fill each tin half way with dough. Place in over for 15 minutes then reduce the heat. 350 degrees. Bake for another 15 -20 minutes. Please don’t open the oven door while baking . Remove from oven when light brown and fluffy. Don’t overcook. Fill popover with jam, butter, bacon, ham etc aand serve!! A wonderful way to keep traditions alive.

As we go into the holidays, the season of the reason to find peaceful ways, our first task at the very hand, is to decide how to really stand.  Strong and rooted like a tree,  no matter what chaos or troubles come to me,  and every day we try to see, what tomorrow will come to be, peace and love – deborahmills ©2019

You never know the power of yourself until someone hurts you quite badly – Mark Twain

The only ones who can really hurt us are the ones we care about.  The other people we are not bothered by their hateful words, or their distant stares, but when we love, care about them, it stinks when cutting words that are made out of impulse, fear or anger comes through.  In truth, we should be kinder to our close knit loved one, and kinder to the strangers as well!! And continue to dream   Dream on , Dream big, Dream

Animal totems:   cockatiel:  Sister Cockatiel is highly intelligent.  A part of the parrot family, she can talk other languages both bird and human aand is very sociable which Bro Parrot is not.  Bro Parrot can take or leave humans but Cockatiel is happiest perched on a shoulder whispering into human’s ears.   Her Totem is one of Messengers from the gods while her medicine shares that even the ones who seem smaller have messages and wonders for us learn.

Several years ago, a friend, Erin M., introduced me to Potato chip cookies. I fell in love.   I don’[t know if this is the recipe she uses, but it’s the one in my latest cookie cookbook

2 cups butter softened to room temp. 1 ¼ cup white sugar, 2 ¼ cups flour, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 ¼ cups potato chips crumbled.  If we have a bag with the bottom ones crushed a good recycling tool   Mash the softened butter and sugar tighter,   add vanilla and the potato chips.  Add flour and mix well.   Roll into balls and flatten with jar or glass bottom with a little flour to prevent sticking.  Lay on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Always use parchment papers for cookies.  Saves the bakig sheet as well.  Bake for 15 minutes in 350 oven.  Be sure to take out 15 minutes from a preheated oven.

I am here my usual hours today. May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me
