I realized that if my thoughts immediately affect my body, I should be careful about what I think. Now if I get angry, I ask myself why I feel that way. If I can find the source of my anger, I can turn that negative energy into something positive. Yoko Ono
Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness. James Thurber
When anger rises, think of the consequences. Confucius
In the midst of the pain, the anguish, the anger we feel at the very life we are experiencing, the wonder is how can I change this anger, or my life? Amazingly we lash out, striking with hot passion of the swords in our own heart, forgetting that when we send out the anger to hurt others, we are blocking any good energies. Anger breeds anger. So we long to ease from the pain, the angers so we turn back to the good people we know we are deep inside. Its not too late we tell ourselves. We are right. If we do the next best thing, the right thing will come. Steps to heal ourselves from anger: 1. Spiritual inventory, awareness of our part. Ask the Divine for help in releasing anger, When we’ve done all we can, turn the problem over to something more. 2. Take deep breaths in through our nose drawing positive energy in, blow out through mouth releasing negativity. 3. Laugh at ourselves. Laugh at the fates, even if we don’t feel like laughing, my mentor used to say if we don’t feel it, do it, the feelings will come, opening up the proper chakras. 4. Refuse to yell, scream, cuss as others. Even the one who we think hurt us. Especially the ones that are trying to help us. If we don’t feel our pastor, mentor, counselor, advisor we are paying to help us isn’t, then don’t go to them. I promise this person is trying to help. Anger breeds anger, and even the best guru around will simply get angry back, which does no one any good. 5. Walk away from negativity, and continue to dream . Dreams sometimes take time. Dream on, Dream Big, Dream.
Animal totems: Crow: Bro Crow is loud, bossy, aggressive. His totem is well known for pushing other smaller birds away to get what he wants. His totem; however, is highly intelligent, also warning the whole forest when danger comes, as well as with Parrot, a bird who uses tools, such as a sharp stick or branch to achieve his goals. His totem reminds us to gentle ourselves with love, kindness to get what we want, while his medicine shares to use our wits, our own power within to achieve dreams.
