You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith. ~Mary Manin Morrissey
Fear is a darkroom where negatives develop. ~Usman B. Asif
The shop was dead that week. My staff paced, worried that each one would be sent home, or have their hours cut. Fear began to creep into the little shoppe where we helped people find their spiritual path, along with tools, to help. The crew watched me out of the corners of big eyes, as I just gathered a candle, some herbs. The truth was the team was irritated that I seemed so nonchalant. Oh, she’s fine. She doesn’t depend on this paycheck. Truthfully though in my 60 years of life, I have learned that fear only gets in the way of the blessings coming, fear only blocks the positive. So I lit the candle, tossing in some mint, sage, basil. We watched the flame go up, scorching the ceiling just a bit. The woman who owned the shoppe across the street came running over, as the window had amplified the flame even bigger. She thought the place was on fire. Yet later that day the place was so packed, and all week we were busy. perhaps it was the candle, perhaps my employees just need to see me take some real actions, physical facts of doing something, so that positive energy went out to the universe. The truth is it doesn’t matter what spiritual faith system we follow, what we practice, we just need to believe with faith. People need real actions. We all need rituals, we need to “do something, anything even if it is the wrong thing” , Every faith system has their rituals, their routines. Many of my family belong to the Church of Christ. I can promise that it doesn’t matter where in the country we go, the routine is the same. 2 songs, a prayer, another song, a prayer for communion, communion, another song, the lesson, song, prayer. Every great once in a while it changes, but there is a reason. People don’t like change, people are comfortable with routine, it lessens the fear, instills a sense of comfort, of peace that the Godhead is working, we can have faith that nothing has changed in the universe. in 60 years of life, I have learned that rituals keep down the fear, faith rather than fear keeps us calm enough to take action when needed, sometimes the greatest action to take is NO action. Remember it is an act, an action to turn in over to Great Spirit. Even bigger action in fear that the gods have forgotten us to keep taking it back trying to fix it ourselves! Take action, give up the fear.
animal totems: Hippoptamus- Bro hippo with his great size symbolizes power. Not physical power, as I’ve never seen a hippo do anything but wallow in the water, the mud. Bro hippo has no fear because of his size, he trusts that his needs will be met. His medicine reminds us to wake up our own inner power, stay centered, balanced, as hippos feet even in the rough waters are grounded firmly on the bottom of the river.
I am here my usual hours today. Keen was kinda slow yesterday. The recent glitches have made clients afraid to call, but the kind techs have fixed most of the glitches so even though I didn’t have my usual line, thankfully I was still busy all night!! I know I have the best unafraid preferred friends! of all. We will continue to try hard to serve each person with love, truth, hope. may the fairies dance around each of us today. love ya, Me, Cherokee, Cidro, Frankiecapone, Sugar Fortune cookie, T and the sweet spirit of Bob and Bets.
