Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity. Carl Jung
Some days, 24 hours is too much to stay put in, so I take the day hour by hour, moment by moment. I break the task, the challenge, the fear into small, bite-size pieces. I can handle a piece of fear, depression, anger, pain, sadness, loneliness, illness. I actually put my hands up to my face, one next to each eye, like blinders on a horse. Regina Brett
We never taste a perfect joy; our happiest successes are mixed with sadness. Pierre Corneille
The beautiful cooing dove who sings at the first of dawn’s early light is called the Mourning dove. Her beautiful song at night’s darkness falling turns to a low mournful sound as her sadness at the loss of her bright beautiful day. Even the train moving slowly down the track at the midnight run, calls out a slow sad song. Sadness is a balance so that when the goodness, the beauty comes we celebrate, we sing, we dance. We just know the greatness of our days, even of the darkness because in the darkness is when we dream. In the sad times, in the lonely times, we reach out to Great Spirit, so we can dream. Use our sad times, our alone times, to decide exactly what we want, what spirit has in store, then channel our determination to come into the Glorious new Morning rising.

Lady Moon is Waxing Gibbous with the 97% illumination leading to Monday’s Full Moon and Tuesday’s Summer Solstice. A good morning ritual to begin today or tomorrow is to rise early to watch Father Sol, the Sun rise over the horizon. As his beauty glows in brilliant colors, make a secret wish, sending out energies to Father Sol. Using the bright colors or early morning sun, Father Sol, gather oranges, apples, bananas, lemons, red peppers, cook and prepare the breaking of the night’s fast with these foods, to celebrate the Summer solstice !
