Here comes the sun  Here comes the sun, and I say  It’s all right  Little darling  It’s been a long, cold lonely winter  Little darling  It feels like years since it’s been here Here comes the sun  Here comes the sun, and I say  It’s all right Little  darling  The smiles returning to the faces  Little darling  It seems like years since it’s been here Here comes the sun  Here comes the sun, and I say  It’s all right Sun, sun, sun, here it comes……  Little darling  I feel that ice is slowly melting  Little darling  It seems like years since it’s been clear Here comes the sun – Songwriters  LENNON/HARRISON/MCCARTNEY

This winter has been brutal.  Wikipedia, and weather channel states that this winter has been one of the worst.  The most recorded low temperature were in 1917, Soux Falls had lowest of – 36 and Niagara Falls froze so densely one could break the ice off.  Our lives, too, often have winters such as this.  We feel so cold, it is actually a physical pain.  Yet here comes the sun. Father Sol comes closed to the Mother earth, to warm her up, to bring beauty, to bring joy back into our lives.  This problem we have right now, this sadness, this heartache, will pass.  The truth will come out. Like oil, in water, truth seems to separate out, making sure the light over comes the dark.  We will see the truth, we will see the Sun, we will see joy.  Only when we refuse to give up the anger, the fear, the doubt, the bitterness, the heartache will these problems linger on. Forgiveness, for ourselves especially, but for the other person is the only way to let us out of our prison of winter in our soul.  As long as we hang on to the dark , we build the wall that finds the positive, the sun to get through to our soul.  Our soul is like our universe.  Let the dark go, let the sunshine in.  Open our heart. Yes, there are times when we may get hurt.  We all do at times, but we will let the sun shine in by throwing open the doors, the windows, the shades of dark.

Animal totem:  Scallop lives in the water.  Sister Scallop teaches us to balance our emotions, our spirituality with positive thoughts even in the roughest waters.  Move with patience as this totem is slower than others.  Her medicine shares movement by opening up all the mind, body and spirit to the light to the sun.  She teaches us we must be open, ready to face whatever our path tosses us, taking advantage of the positive times, positive opportunities when each one comes.  Scallop has a tendency to hide, so do not hide behind our walls.
