The more often we see the things around us – even the beautiful and wonderful things – the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds – even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less. Joseph B. Wirthlin
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best. Henry Van Dyke
Sense the blessings of the earth in the perfect arc of a ripe tangerine, the taste of warm, fresh bread, the circling flight of birds, the lavender color of the sky shining in a late afternoon rain puddle, the million times we pass other beings in our cars and shops and out among the trees without crashing, conflict, or harm. Jack Kornfield
Bro Hawk circles lazily around the sky seeing every little detail below him. Sister sparrow sits on her nest with babies cuddled knowing she is safe high in the trees. Father Eagle soars over mountains tops, far away from the troubles below, while Sister Crane stays balanced in water waves that blow beating on the shore. Amazingly the smallest of small, teaches us that when we believe, we will receive, the gods will take care of the problems, allowing us to move into the dreams. Even we make mistakes, even when he/she makes mistakes, we move on. We get past the problems, hang on to the strength, the love, the love. Healing steps: 1. Inventory ourselves each day. Decide what we want to change what to keep in our actions, our decisions, our ways. 2. Feel our feelings. Take each feeling we have, even hurt, anger, pain, enjoy them, embrace them, feel them intensely for 5 -10 minutes, then let go of any feelings we don’t want to keep. Forgive them for coming, know they are important, because only in pain, chaos, will we accept change. 3. Write down what we would like to happen today, next week, next month, next year. 4. Trust that the great Divine Spirit is with us. Thank the spirit, then allow the control to go there. 5. Spend time to say I am happy, 2 -3 times a day. Even if we are not feeling particularly happy. 6. Smile at someone we really don’t want to smile at, giving them a lift. 7. Listen to others. for even the beggar on the street may be the angel in disguise giving messages. 8. Listen carefully to our heart, not our head, for our head will fill with the outer voices of the world, of nay-sayers, while our heart soars as the eagles. 9. Know that each minute of each day we go forward. We can’t go back and change things, so we are always moving forward. 10. Soar over our mountains, for there’s always another mountain and know we can climb it as well.
Animal totems: Hawk: Bro hawk has eyes that can see the smallest detail from the highest heights. His talons are sharp able to lift weights heavier than himself. His totem is aggressive at times, calling out the danger, or the good tidings when changes come reminding us to listen carefully to our instincts. His medicine shares to remind us to look at all sides of the situation seeing even the smallest detail before choosing our path.
Lady Moon is Waxing gibbous today. She has the illumination of 81%. She remains in Gemini the twins reminding us today its okay to shake life up. Mercury went Direct yesterday. Venus is in Pisces the dreamer fish, fluid and flowing, so communicate. We can be Hawk a bit more aggressive in our love ways especially without fear as love as we remember to be gentle. Words can be sharp as hawk’s talons if we are not careful. Use garnet a hard stone, crystalized to gain power but keep anger down. He is a masculine stone ready to be aggressive when needed with gentle persuasions.
