In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. ~Albert Schweitzer
The fire burning within our soul shines a light that we must nurture, tender, add fuel to with love every day. We often feel as if we have to be so spiritual, so strong, so on top of the game, so positive we start draining completely of our faith, our hope, our joy, our fire. We know that others don’t want to hear our problems, each one has own problems, issues that need to be cleared up as well. So we struggle in silence, bearing our weight on our own shoulders, slowly draining, depleting our energy. Well, good news, my friends, today is Jump into the mud puddle and splash friend day. Yes, this is truly if one looks it up, a day to celebrate being able to lean on our friends! In Truth, no spiritual teachings share with us to bear our burdens alone. Spiritual muses teach to join churches, covens, support groups, to be in fellowship with one another in love, in edification, in like faith, in same beliefs. In turn, we are meant to give hope, to give uplifting support, yes, even give of our time, our resources to help others around us. This is how we receive when we give. In the ancient days, almost every culture, when growing the fields, at harvest, would leave portions for the poor to pick up after harvest was done. The native Americans formed our Thanksgiving by welcoming the pilgrims, inviting them to eat , teaching how to grow corn, other crops in this new land. It is not spiritual to try to handle things on our own, we are to reach out. We are to splash in the mud puddles with our friends.
Animal totems: Nutthatch – the bird of spiritual grounding teaches us faith, trust in both the spiritual friends, the physical friends around us. Sister Nuthatch teaches us how to find others to help us grow, help us seek spiritual food, spiritual comfort in our friends. Her medicine teaches us to be creative in our thinking, finding new ideas, thoughts to clear out problems. Her totem is one of awareness, of clarity.
I am here my usual hours today. I try to be the friend we think we don’t have, sending each person love today. May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me, Cherokee, Cidro, Frankiecapone, Sugar Fortune Cookie, T and the sweet precious spirit babies Bob and Bets.
Moonzies preferred friends: we considered each one a friend to try to help on the path. we are not ever bothered by emails or calls. We love what we do, as this is our path. much love
