The flower that you hold in your hands was born today and already it is as old as you are. ~Antonio Porchia
The whole of the universe smiles at us today. Although here it is so cold, we long for Father Sol to come closer to us, heat up the world, to give us the nourishment we need. Yet the plan is there. Obviously our Mother Earth needs her rest, to hibernate under the ice, the cold where truly she can snuggle under her covers to give her rest. We as humans demand so much of her. We are as the 2 year old, taking her time, her energy, her nourishment, we are not giving anything back, yet keep making harsh demands throwing our tantrums when we don’t have our way. We cut her trees down for a place for an airplane to go through, we level majestic mountains so our subdivisions will be level, then we complain when she becomes so tired, she goes cold. Our relationships can be the same way. Family, friends, our lovers, we demand, take, push, pull to achieve our will, our way so much, that we are truly surprised when he/she turns cold, hunkers down with in the soul to take a break, to find balance again. Then we complain as we want this to change now. We need to stop, think, we can give back. This doesn’t make us a fool, or crazy anymore than replanting a tree, or giving plant food to our gardens, covering our rose bushes when the world turns cold. The plan is for both of us to learn, each person involved in the situation to learn to be more kind, more patient, more spiritual, to ask what can I do in this situation, rather than I want, I demand. Learn from the flower who right now when we cut it from its roots, the bloom starts to wither until we set it back in water, in nourishment to enjoy its beauty.
Animal totem; Pelican: She is a symbol of unselfishness. Pelican can scoop up from even the harshest waters, pulling in nourishment, what she needs no matter what problems are tossed to sister Pelican. Her medicine is to rise above the problems, see the answer from a spiritual perch, sharing loving, caring. This totem shares her nest with others, teaching us giving, unselfish love.
I am here my usual hours today. May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me, Cherokee, Cidro Frankie Capone, Sugar Fortune Cookie, T and the sweet spirit of bob and bets.
