Five great enemies to peace inhabit with us: avarice, ambition, envy, anger, and pride. If those enemies were to be banished, we should infallibly enjoy perpetual peace. ~Francesco Petrarch
If you go, go in Peace it makes the flowers sweeter along the path. ~Mike Dolan
The bergamont white tea candle is lit on the counter. The sweet smell of this orange grown in my green house, then developed into essence oil, which I then made the candle with soy wax now helping to provide a sense of wellness, health, happiness into my home. A cup of hot peppermint tea, also made coming from my greenhouse settles me, the pups, down to start this cold day with warmth, peace, a sense of stability. The use of both of these down home products take about 10-15 minutes to heat up creating that sense of peace I need to start my day. Yet truthfully the process of having the herb, or using the rind of the Bergamont, making the oil, making the candles, nurturing plants in the greenhouse are hard work, taking time out to develop. The cost of developing these helpful tools of peace takes a bite out of the pocket book. Yes, we sell these products, being artisans, but making money isn’t the true satisfaction coming from the intense process. The ability to develop, to nurture, to help grow the inner being with basic earth based products heals the inner soul. We can see the results, we can feel the results . We all take pride in our work letting it make us feel confident we are doing a job well done. There are mistakes, such as over watering the plants, or the beetles eating all the leaves off the plants. We don’t toss away the whole project, we just find organic ways to rid of the beetles, schedule the waterings better. Yet our most important tasks, our loves, our relationships, the minute something goes wrong, we want to toss the whole project down the tubes, “kick ‘em to the curb” as our friends will say. He/she didn’t text us back within 10 minutes we are ready to “walk away” . when we do things in anger, fear, impulse, we lose something, as well as do the wrong things. Looking at the problem from all sides of peace, we find the way to make the flowers sweeter along our path.
Animal totems: Mongoose lets her medicine come in with courage, open honesty so that everyone involved has the greater good. Sister mongoose shows high patience, tolerance for mistakes within her group, showing how to reach our goals , our dreams without hurting others in the process. Stretching out in the sun, giving herself the time to relax, also gives her the totem of peace she projects.
I am here my usual hours today. If you aren’t receiving my mail, there has been some issues with the mail system. Keen is diligently working to fix this, but if you don’t receive an answer to your email from me,it is because I did not get your email. Also Internet explorer 11 is not compatible right now, so go into another browser to send your emails. I’m sorry for the inconvenience but the techs are working to resolve this. May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me, Cherokee, Cidro, Frankiecapone Sugar Fortune Cookie T and the sweet spirit of Bob and Bets.
Moonzies Preferred friends: Another great story about the amethyst is the story of a co=worker who came to me with her son’s addiction problems. In/out of rehab he just couldn’t seem to get the monkey off his back. So we made him a key chain with amethyst, black onyx. He started carrying it, went back to rehab, and now 5 years later, still a sober, productive adult. Wow. Now of course, part of it is believing, as the talisman is as a worry stone, we have something to touch , to hypnotize ourselves into the right actions, so to speak, but the chemical properties in amethyst helps to sooth the restless soul. love ya
