You can owe nothing, if you give back its light to the sun.  ~Antonio Porchia, Voces, 1943, translated from Spanish by W.S. Merwin

Those who gave away their wings are sad not to see them fly.  ~Antonio Porchia, Voces, 1943, translated from Spanish by W.S. Merwin

We have an inner light.  Each one of us glows from the inside out unless we allow our light to be dimmed by the hurts life throws against us.  Our power much like when Delilah cut off Samson’s hair, can be dashed, torn down, by other’s hurtful words, mean spirited actions, that throws water on our fire that burns within.   Many times after receiving back some good light, some power from another more positive person, we take part of the wings of this person, but then we are afraid of life, afraid of good things to happen, so we don’t rise fly with the wings, or shine our inner light back  to the sun.  We lie low, preferring instead to keep the drama, the problems the chaos we know so well.  We have become comfortable with the pain. When these pains, heartaches are removed, we feel we will be empty, we will have no life.  An old friend who is now passed over on the other side, an alcoholic, who allowed the drink to kill him, used to tell me, if my demons go away, I will die.  Hmm,  as we allow each hurt, each anger, each unforgiveness, each “demon” to leave, we may for a moment, feel lost, unsure of how to live, but soon, as we look toward the sun, we will start to feel our inner light start to glow back together the sun, we lift the wings we have been given to fly toward the sun.

Animal totems:  Motmot:   Bro Motmot is a beautiful bird. His medicine teaches us to lift our wings to fly, taking charge of our balance of mental, of spiritual activities.  His totem tells us to take charge of our destiny by listening to the spiritual voices, to the inner light of our intuition, the messages of the leaders.  These days more of us are learning about our spiritual gifts, but in using those we also want to use them to be balanced, grounded in life.  Motmot teaches us to learn in aloneness, that we can hear the lessons we need, open the door to other worlds, so we can know how to reach our destiny

Moonzies preferred friends:   Remember our stone of the week is amazonite.  one good thing this stone does is help ground, center and balance  the heart and throat chakra.  Aides in calming nerves carrying this stone as a worry stone, the properties will help center our emotional communication when we hold it.  one story I remember is I had a client buy a whole necklace of amazonite beads.  over the next 3 months, we watched her change from a panicked, scared woman of fear most of the time to one whose light shines with inner peace no matter what life hits her.  https://moonzies.com/products/moonzies-healing-stones/

The herb/spice this week is allspice.  One young woman kept having digestion problems.   As she started putting more recipes with allspice in, her queasy stomach started balancing.  love ya
