Often, what seems an impossible climb is just a staircase without the steps drawn in. ~Robert Brault, www.robertbrault.com
The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do. ~Sarah Ban Breathnach, Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy, 1996
We are all dreamers. We are all amazing individuals. We have the ideas, the thoughts, the hopes, of the lifestyle we want, we long for, we often don’t feel as if we don’t deserve this dream. See, we know our faults. We know where we’ve made our mistakes, we know what we’ve done. Kinda like that movie, “ I know what you did last summer.” ( 1997 film based on 1991 Lois Duncan novel). Hidden slights, angry words, the white lie we told that we’ve built in our guilt to an issue far more than anyone else remembers. See, we beat ourselves up. We create within ourselves this idea that we are a horrible person, everyone remembers what we did, yet the truth is most people have their own problems, the guilts, the regrets, no one really keeps the grudge against us. Most importantly, the Most High does not hold a grudge. The universe, the spiritual world let go of that a long time ago. Now this doesn’t mean we can keep going on making the same mistakes! Once a recovering alcoholic worked for me. She kept throwing temper tantrums, then coming back saying, she had reworked her 4th step , making amends , she was sorry. Finally I had to sit her down, say that doesn’t work, if one keeps making the same mistakes. It is disruptive to the other staff in the restaurant, also gives everyone the idea that this behavior is okay. People live by example, our karma works this way as well. In the end, we all have times we don’t listen to our inner voices so we do really dumb things. Yet, as we are forgiven, we forgive others, we become humble, we not only receive love, we draw our dreams to us.
Animal totems: Mouse: Sister mouse scampered back into the hole she bore out of our wall. This totem is most often afraid because she knows that she is overwhelmed by stealing the bread out of the cupboard, or eating a hole in our cake. Her great medicine is being able to see the details. Yet this totem reminds us not to stay focused on the little details. In other words, don’t sweat the small stuff. This makes life harder than it has to be, keep it simple.
I am here my usual hours today. May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me Cherokee, Cidro, Frankiecapone, Sugar Fortune Cookie, T and the sweet spirit of Bob and Bets.
