This am I already had started a blog on trust, but then the weight of the morning news, the dreary day where the prediction of yet another bout of cold weather is going to creep in, said Agh! When did I get 60 AND when did I grow up? We all have these days when responsibilities, being “mature” being ” adult”, just seems to get on our nerves. To think that we have to ALWAYS be the strong one, the serious one, the one stepping up, taking action can not only be quite daunting, but also annoying. See, when we are the only ones taking charge, taking actions, we are the only ones who can be blamed when something goes wrong. People watching in hindsight, can easily tell us what we should have, could have done, yet when we offer to step back, allow someone else to pave the way through unchartered territories, we often find ourselves alone. Even in our love relationships, that special he/she that is Mr or Ms Right! We feel we are the only one ! The great news is although to the naked eye, to the outside world, even to our logical, sensible adult mind we are alone, we are not!! We can go back to our inner child, find our first faith, that innocence, that belief system that comes with imagination to imagine that we can achieve the impossible! We have the strength, we have the power, we have the gift of our minds, as long as the spiritual world, the universe around us so we know we are never alone, we can be the child putting his/her hand in the Great Spirit’s, walking the path with truth, with faith, with hope. Animal totems: Ant – Bro Ant is the worker of the world. Carrying weights 10 times more than he actually weighs, his medicine teaches us that yes we can carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, we just have to get some help from the gods upstairs. Only great imagination, only great belief can help Bro Ant take care of his needs, his family, in his consistent, persistent relentless ability to never give up. This totem reminds us we may feel small and alone, but we are mighty in our belief, our strengths.
I am going to start working here at 9:15 or so, and only work until 11am. I am going to meet with my youngest grandson for Mr Peabody and Sherman! I will be back this evening as usual.
