Hope is faith holding out its hand in the dark.  ~George Iles

Not having a topic this morning, I decided that whatever quote garden had for quote of the day I would use.  Oh, how appropriate is this quote for most of us.  We all feel every day as we are stumbling around in the dark, we have become the Hermit in our souls.  We are holding our lantern as high as we can to see the path ahead, but the road continues to look straight into the face of a dark hole.  We can see no way, no curve or bend in the way ahead so each day we awaken to yet another day in hades.    Often times, when I share with hurting people, each one states, I don’t want false hope.  The key thing here is there is no false hope.  The word hope is basically believing in something we cannot see.  Hope is having faith when we have no reason, no whys, no logic, when we cannot see when we are in the dark.   Hope is a verb.   We hope.  We long for; we believe even when we have no real good reason to believe, to have faith.   We can see the dream in our visions, in our night dreams, in our day dreams.  We can feel the love swell up in our heart, longing for something we feel we may never have in our lives.  After all, we know that all the mistakes we made, he/she made we don’t deserve these wonders.   Hope is dreams in action.  Hope is believing with faith, complete blind faith. Hope is strong.  Hope is alive.

Animal totems:  Sponge:   We don’t often think of this as an animal, but sister sponge is actually a living, breathing, being.  This totem teaches us to absorb life, hope, faith from the universe around us, then decide which feelings, which beliefs we want to hold on to, to keep in our being.    We can cry, be negative, or we can absorb through positive energies the hope we long to have in each situation.  Discipline,  absorbing, then rejecting the negative in this totem’s medicine.   Sister Sponge also gives us the knowledge of win to move slowly, when to wait, and when to jump in with both feet.

I am here my usual hours today ! May the fairies dance around each of us today. Love ya, Me, Cherokee, Cidro, Frankiecapone, Sugar Fortune Cookie, T and the sweet spirit of Bob and Bets.
