Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. John F. Kennedy
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Eleanor Roosevelt
Keep looking up! I learn from the past, dream about the future and look up. There’s nothing like a beautiful sunset to end a healthy day. Rachel Boston
The storms were coming. We boarded up the windows, fixed the “safe” place in the closet with flashlights, snacks, blankets, pillows. We were prepared as we knew the storms were coming. Suddenly the Mother Earth filled with chaos, loud noises as winds tore shingles off the roof tops, tree limbs banged on boarded windows, the rushing sounds as loose items flew through the air. Then just as quickly, silence, complete utter silence. Daring to peep out, we could suddenly see the beauty of what was left, because there in the sky, was the rainbow. We weathered the storm. Somewhat prepared, unafraid of the outcome, as we know storms in life will come, we reached the future with the glory of the skies. We know there will be storms. There will be times when we are hunkered down, hiding away in protection, waiting for the ends of the chaos, entering into a time of happiness. Because we are prepared for the future we know is coming, we can believe in the beauty of our dreams.

Lady Moon is waning crescent . she enters into Libra the scales so that the romance, the loves are balanced during this week. The 4th house of values, principles is in Virgo also a balanced planet so we are learning balance. The time of getting ready for our holidays is here. A great new recipe to try is one I learned to love as a child. My mother made this every year.: Divinity: 2 egg whites, 2 2/3 cups sugar, 2/3 cups light corn syrup, ½ cup water, 1 teaspoon vanilla, chopped nuts if desired. In medium heavy saucepan, cook sugar, water, salt, corn syrup stirring only until it starts to boil. Then allow it to get to where it will form a soft ball in cold water, ( about6 -8 minutes) In the meantime, beat with electric mixer ( my mom used to use a wire whip which will kill arms) until egg whites fluff up stiff . ( a trick I use is to put ½ teaspoon of cream of tartar or meringue power as it will help stiffen the whites). Then when the liquid gets ready, a little at a time add to whites with mixer still. Then drop on parchment paper to let finish cooling. Melt in your mouth holiday treats. If preferred , use peppermint oil instead of vanilla! Lift spirits quickly!
