There is a road way up ahead -There is a path, there is a hill The road we’re living, we are stuck sometimes without our will The path leads to the river, the river as she flows The River of life, of love, of fates Healing as she grows, so now come on and Dance in the rivers, sing to the Sun Dance in the moonlight, , dreams to be won Dance in the water, warm free Dance, Sing, Laugh choose to be free. Yes we will dance in the rivers, sing to the sun, dance in the water , life is begun- deborah mills © 2016
I have lived pain, and my life can tell: I only deepen the wound of the world when I neglect to give thanks the heavy perfume of wild roses in early July and the song of crickets on summer humid nights and the rivers that run and the stars that rise and the rain that falls and all the good things that the good gods bring. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full. King Solomon
Ah Dance. Sing, Laugh outloud at the antics of Bro squirrel as he scampers around the green grasses of the lawn. He jumps so high, so far, from the rails of the wooden deck to the limbs of Bro Oak tree, swinging as he goes from limb to limb. He is busy so busy with the preparing for the future, and yet… Bro and Sister Squirrel remembers to play, dance, even sing as they prepare for the cold darker days of winter. Sitting by the river, we watch as the fresh water fish of the South flip, flop as their schools teach the younger ones of how to live. Bro Turtle, one of the oldest totems of wisdom sticks his head out of the rough current as the winds are sending Sister River faster, wilder down toward the sea. Father Sol’s sunlight, bright, brilliant, sending rays of colors dancing on the leaves, the blooms of the grasses, the honeysuckles, reminds us that even the light dances to the life. The whole of the universe reminds us to dance, to sing, to laugh , to love ah to love life with all our hearts each and every moment. Yes, know the future, follow to our dreams, and yet smile in this moment of life.
Animal totems: Turtle: Bro Turtle is one of the oldest known animals. His hard shell protects the softness inside where the wisdom of gentleness lies. His totem reminds us that living a disciplined life, protecting our inner soul first is important, but sticking our neck out of the hardness when necessary for the greater good of all. His medicine reminds us we can be strong, powerful, but still use wise judgement in our ways
